ex_110_110TEST Notified Body (NB 2057), as a third party, undertakes a compulsory and voluntary conformity assessment of the products with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX).
Directive 2014/34/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Products intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres must meet the essential requirements for health and safety contained in the ATEX Directive. In order to determine whether the product meets the requirements of the Directive, use the appropriate conformity assessment procedures.

According to ATEX Directive, a level of protection and related evaluation procedures depend directly on the level of risk involved and the environment in which the device will work.

TEST Body, respectively for the products in Groups I and II, categories M1 and 1:

  • electronic devices
  • non-electric devices
  • parts and components
  • protective, controlling and regulating apparatus
  • protective systems

carries out the following conformity assessment procedures:

  • EC-type examination,
  • production quality assurance,
  • product verification,
  • unit verification
  • and for products of group I and II, categories M2 and 2:
  • internal combustion engines,
  • electronic devices,
  • parts and components,
  • protective, controlling and regulating apparatus,
  • medium and low voltage engines.

carries out the following conformity assessment procedures:

  • EC type-examination,
  • compliance with the type
  • product quality assurance,
  • internal control of production + transfer of technical documentation,
  • unit verification.

Tests that are necessary to confirm protection type of equipment for groups I and II, respectively M1 and M2 and 1 and 2, are carried out in our accredited testing laboratory No. AC 1552.
