Directive 2006/95/EC (LVD), introduced into Polish law by the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 21 August 2007 on essential requirements for electrical equipment (Journal of Laws No. 155, item 1089) brings the conformity assessment procedures for internal control production (it is called module A, which does not require attendance of notified body).
The manufacturer is required to keep, for 10 years after the last piece of product, technical documentation, confirming the validity writing signed declaration of conformity and CE marking.
For the purposes of Low Voltage Directive, “electrical equipment” means any equipment designed for use with a voltage rating between 50 V and 1 000 V AC and between 75 V and 1 500 V DC, with the exception of equipment and phenomena listed in Annex II of the Directive.
On a voluntary basis, TEST Body, for electrical equipment:
- prepares reports on tests conducted in our laboratory,
- delivers its opinion on the safety of the product,
- certifies the compliance with national and international standard
